One of the greatest aspects of The Sims since its initial release back in 2000, is build mode. There’s so much you can do within the game to create the perfect lot for your sims. However, cheat codes make things even more interesting! Here are the best sims 4 build cheats.
How to Enable Cheats in The Sims 4
Before you can start using cheats in The Sims 4, you must first properly enable them in the game. Here’s how to do it on each platform:
- Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + C
- Mac: Command + SHIFT + C
- PS4: L1, L2, R1 and R2.
- Xbox One: LB, LT, RB and RT
Once the cheat console pops up, type “testingcheats on” or “testincheats true” and press enter. Cheats are now enabled in The Sims 4.

FreeRealEstate On Cheat Sims 4
The FreeRealEstate On cheat allows you to build on or move into a lot no matter how much it costs. For example, you build the perfect family in CAS and start looking for a house to move them into only to find out that §20,000 simoleons doesn’t buy much since they don’t yet have a career. Simply enable cheats and then enter the FreeRealEstate On cheat. Viola! You can now move your sims into the perfect lot no matter how much it costs.
To turn off this ability, simply enter the FreeRealEstate Off cheat and it’s back to business as usual for your sims.
bb.moveobjects on Cheat Sims 4
Perhaps one of the most popular build cheats in The Sims 4 is bb.moveobjects on. This cheat allows you to place anything absolutely anywhere on your lot regardless of the grid. Think about placing clutter more naturally on a kitchen counter. Oh, the possibilities!
Pro-Tip: Most builds done by community builders in the gallery have this cheat enabled.

Let’s face it, some of the community lots in the game need some work. (I’m looking at you Hospital from the Get To Work Expansion Pack!) Luckily, all you have to do is enable cheats and enter in the bb.enablefreebuild cheat into the cheat console and you’ll be on your way to creating perfect community lots in no time.

Speaking of building on community lots, have you ever seen an object that you want but it’s not showing up in build mode? There’s a cheat for that! After enabling cheats, type in bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement and press enter. Now, all objects will be available to you in build mode.
