Traits in The Sims 4 is what brings your sim’s personality to life! We are going to show you how to use these sims 4 trait cheats to alter your sim’s traits however you wish.

How to Enable Cheats in The Sims 4

Before you can start using cheats in The Sims 4, you must first properly enable them in the game. Here’s how to do it on each platform:

  • Windows: CTRL + SHIFT + C
  • Mac: Command + SHIFT + C
  • PS4: L1, L2, R1 and R2.
  • Xbox One: LB, LT, RB and RT

Once the cheat console pops up, type “testingcheats on” or “testincheats true” and press enter. Cheats are now enabled in The Sims 4.

Traits can help your sims advance through skills, careers, and their lives with ease (or difficulty!) depending on what traits they have. For example, if a sim has the Overachiever trait, they will have an easier time getting through school and their career as opposed to a sim who has the Lazy trait.
